This is the first group ever founded for the movement of waste management especially anti-plastic activities. Environmental management which is the larger context of waste management is the concept that is needed to pay attention in contemporary society. Developing Countries like Myanmar focus more on the development of other sectors rather than environmental area. As human environment is closely interrelated and interconnected to the physical environment, the role of environmental management and development is a crucial one to put into consideration at the same time with other development work. As a result of this opinion, we the group of LOME would like to play a part in the protection, conservation and management of environment for the development of the people and the country in every respect. LOME activities so far are not like a full funded and systematic project but in fact based on small initiative and innovative programs that everyone can participate for the management of their own environment. Here, we highlight the important of the awareness and participation of all stakeholders in an attempt to achieve sound environment and environmental friendly living styles.
